INSTRUCTIONS FOR CARE & HEALING OF A NEW TATTOO
1. Remove bandage after 1 hour to 1-1/2 hours. Gently scrub the tattoo with a warm soapy cloth to remove dried blood. (Use an antibacterial soap such as DIAL or LEVER 2000). DO NOT put a bandage back on.
2. Apply a thin film of Lubriderm (fragrance free lotion) 2 to 3 times daily. (No Neosporin).
3. Wash GENTLY 2 to 3 times daily with fingertips. No Scrubbing.
4. No swimming, saunas, soaking in the tub, tanning beds or direct sunlight for 2 WEEKS. When showering, do no let shower blast directly on new tattoo.
5. Do not wear pantyhose of any type.
6. Do not wear dry cleaned clothes directly on tattoo. The chemicals from the dry cleaning can cause infection.
7. Do not PICK AT or PEEL dry skin. Gently pat to relieve itching.
8. After tattoo is healed -- When you are in the sun for an extended period or in a tanning bed, keep tattoo covered or apply a strong sun block. This will help preserve the color & keep tattoo looking vibrant and new.
